six major wind power bases based on the characteristics of distribution of wind resources in china and the characteristics of wind power construction, longyuang group has proposed its strategic conception of building up six major wind power bases all over china, namely, six 1 million kw wind power bases will be built up in xinjiang, gansu, inner mongolia, hebei, the three provinces in northeast china, and the coastal area in southeast china. such six major wind power bases will be the major battlefield for the company’s wind power development. through years of operations and constructions, the construction of company’s six major wind power bases has come into being. up till june 30, 2009, a total wind power installed capacity of 223,800kw has been put into production in the company’s xinjiang wind power base and wind farms are distributed in the area of urumchi. a total wind power installed capacity of 307,800kw has been put into production in the company’s gansu wind power base and wind farms are distributed in the area of jiuquan. a total wind power installed capacity of 844,900kw has been put into production in the company’s inner mongolia wind power base and wind farms are distributed in such places as bayan nur, baotou, ulan qab, chifeng, and xing’an league. a total wind power installed capacity of 106,300kw has been put into production in the company’s hebei wind power base and wind farms are distributed in such places as zhangjiakou and chengde. a total wind power installed capacity of 1,097,950kw has been put into production in the company’s wind power base in the three provinces in northeast china, thus having become the first among the company’s wind power bases with a total installed capacity of over 1 million kw; and wind farms are distributed in such places as harbin, yichun, jiamusi, and mudanjiang in heilongjiagn province, baicheng city in jilin province, and such places as shenyang, tieling, and dandong in liaoning province. the southeast coastal wind power base is mainly in jiangsu, zhejiang, fujian, and guangdong, where a total wind power installed capacity of 581,000kw has been put into production; and wind farms there are mainly distributed in such places as nantong, jiangsu and such places as fuzhou, zhangzhou, and putian in fujian.
